From February 2024 to July 2025, I served as the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Heart Team Africa Foundation (HTAF), a non-profit initiative under the Jakaya Kikwete Cardiac Institute (JKCI), dedicated to improving access to life-saving cardiac care for children across Tanzania. In this role, I led the strategic direction and day-to-day

operations of the Foundation, spearheaded resource mobilization initiatives, and coordinated major events such as the Gala Dinner fundraising campaign, which aimed to raise TZS 2 billion to support 1,500 children in need of cardiac surgeries. I also played a pivotal role in stakeholder engagement, forging key partnerships with government ministries, the private sector, and development partners. Under my leadership, HTAF expanded its visibility and strengthened its institutional foundation, laying the groundwork for sustainable impact. Currently, I serve as a Legal Officer at JKCI, where I provide legal support for institutional operations, manage MoUs and contracts, and oversee compliance issues. I have also been a central figure in coordinating the Cardio Tan Conferences (2024–2026), e

nsuring legal structure and stakeholder alignment in planning and execution. My professional background includes experience with Adroit Financial Services, Plan International, Gender and Adolescence Initiatives (GAI), and the Young Lawyers Foundation, where I led gender equality and human rights programs that reached thousands of young women and community members across Tanzania. I hold a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Dar es Salaam and have received specialized training in gender-based violence, leadership, microfinance, and policy advocacy both locally and internationally. My journey has been guided by a deep commitment to equity, social justice, and community empowerment. As a former acting CEO, gender specialist, and legal officer, I continue to champion access to healt

hcare and rights-based development for all, especially for children and women in underserved communities. Respectfully submitted, Linda Gideon Ng’hungubaji Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
