Dr. Peter R. Kisenge is the Executive Director of the Jakaya Kikwete Cardiac Institute (JKCI) in Tanzania. A distinguished cardiologist and interventional cardiologist, Dr. Kisenge earned his MD from Tumaini University KCMC and completed postgraduate training in internal medicine and cardiology—culminating in a Master of Science in Cardiology through a collaborative sandwich program with Haukeland University, Christian Medical College Vellore, and Muhimbili University. With extensive clinical and leadership experience, he has held key positions at Muhimbili National Hospital and served as the personal physician to the former President of Tanzania, Dr. John Pombe Joseph Magufuli. Dr. Kisenge is also a prolific researcher and educator, contributing to numerous publications and spearheading
innovative initiatives in cardiovascular care across Africa.
