Wilson Mnzava is a seasoned insurance and financial services professional with over 19 years of experience spanning from life, non-life, microinsurance and medical insurance. His extensive expertise in sales, distribution, actuarial, business development and risk management has significantly contributed to the growth and transformation of the insurance sector in Tanzania and beyond.
He holds a Master of Science in Insurance and Actuarial Science from the Institute of Finance Management (IFM) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Savings and Credit Cooperatives Management from Sokoine University (SUA). Additionally, he earned an Advanced Diploma in Accountancy from IFM and has further enriched his leadership skills through the Senior
Management Development Program at the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa and Executive leadership program from Strathmore Business School, Kenya. He also holds a Certificate in Enterprise Promotions from the Negev Institute of Strategy of Peace and Development (NISPED) in Israel. He attended Accelerate certificate of Directorship course at the Institute of Directors (IoD), United Kingdom
Wilson joined CRDB Insurance Broker Ltd in March 2020, initially as Head of Business Development, before advancing to General Manager. Under his leadership, the company has experienced significant growth, product innovation and strategic expansion.
Prior to joining CRDB, Wilson held key leadership positions, including:
✔ Head of Risk Management at Savings and Cooperative Union League of Tanzania
✔ Microfinance Specialist at the Uganda Co-operative Alliance under the FK Norway Exchange Program, now is known as FK World
✔ Project Manager at The First Microinsurance Agency (Aga Khan Development Network)
✔ Sales Manager at Jubilee Insurance Company of Tanzania
✔ Business Development Manager & General Manager at Sanlam Life Insurance Tanzania
He is an active member of the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII-UK) and the Insurance Institute of Tanzania (IIT), continuously advocating for industry advancement and professional excellence.
